I'm a third year Illustration student studying at the University of Brighton. The first 3 pages of a short comic I did, that forms a part of my show.
My Long Form piece for the Eyra exhibition in full. (right click, open in new tab for full size)
Yesterday me and my classmates finished hanging up our show. After seeing it being done by the other years, it was a surreal experience to be the ones in their position, and now it’s done! Three years of work culminating in two days of banging, hammering, nails, drills, spirit measures, tape.
Our Brighton studio show will be open on the 1st of June to the public, come sea, come see!
I made an abstract comic for the new online Eyra exhibition ‘Long Form’ which you can check out now. There’s a great bunch of artists on there!
You can say a lot with eyes. I mean, the mouth does the talking but the eyes tell the story. They don’t call them the windows to the soul for nothing y’know. But don’t worry, we aren’t looking so far as the soul in this story. We have a much shorter journey to make, to where all good stories start - at the beginning…
The first page of a new venture…a few niggles here and there but I want to keep going with this idea!
Something fuahn. June calendar for Lauren Shields!
Sketchbook 2 - The one I’m working in currently.
I thought I would scan and share some pages from my sketchbook. It’s not really very organised or neat. Everything and anything goes in here, so there’s a lot of nonsensical crap that I jot down- forgotten ideas, quotes from more intelligible people, and then some actual drawings too.
Got back into some life drawing last Friday with Irene Fuga.
